A Welcome Home

(Veterans lined the driveway to welcome back troops)
On February 11, 2012 we welcomed back the Delaware Army Guard's 126th Medical company back from Afghanistan!
(US Sen.Tom Carper had some words of wisdom to offer)
Family, friends and dignitaries gathered Saturday at the Clarion Hotel near New Castle to welcome home troops of the Delaware Army National Guard's 126th Medical Company (Air Ambulance), who returned after a year of service in Afghanistan. The company flew Blackhawk helicopters in Afghanistan, providing medical support and evacuating wounded U.S. and international troops and Afghan citizens from conflict zones to medical treatment.

"We could not be more proud of the outstanding service these men and women provided while in the most dangerous of conditions," said Maj. Gen. Frank Vavala, Delaware National Guard commander. "No one does it better, and they proved that every day of their deployment."
